Fall Fashion
With summer being officially over, it’s time to take all your summer wear out of the closet and make space for all the newest, hottest, latest trends for the fall season.
It’s that time of the year where the fashion industry starts showing what will be out for the seasons to come. Mercedes fashion week in New York City marks the official start of the fall. With many new trends hitting the runway, department stores are marking down all their summer wear to make room for what’s hot right now.
This fall the 80s are back, along with several other trends inspired by the Asian style, the English country… let’s just say you have limitless options of style to choose from. It all depends on what you think fits your personality the most. In this article we will only focus on some of my personal favorites.
Despite the current economic crisis, fashion has never been more exciting. This fall juice up your look with some striking colors like hot pink, even a bright coat will do this fall, but if you’re not a fan of all these vibrant dresses or coats, just add a twist to your wrist with some eye catching acid bright extras to your look like cuffs or pointy flats. To pull the 80s look, remember one thing: no neutral color. It’s either you go with the vibrant colors or you go all the way black.
The bold shoulder look this fall is a must have, just one blazer with a little twist like that can make your posture seem stronger and slims the waist. This style manages to evoke the 80s without resorting to retro. It doesn’t matter if it’s a collarless, leather or boyfriend jacket, today’s shoulder pads are part of almost every jacket. If not, you can always run to the nearest garment store and get a shoulder pad to put on an old blazer of yours. But honestly this fall I personally think that their dimensions for some designers are exaggerated. One piece of advice is to go light on the on the jewelry and let the focus be on the blazer.
Stay warm this fall while still being very much in style with a little fur accent, a chic detail on gloves, hat, or a whole jacket/vest works well on a tailored piece or a cocktail dress. One thing to remember while looking chic, warm and fuzzy one piece at a time is: Plenty!!!
Materials like sequins, lace high gloss and rich fabrics (brocade) are making this fall’s parties extra chic, and the fun part is that you can flawlessly wear them from day to night.
With the economy crisis going on, you have to also be smart when shopping, and make good investments. Remember one thing while shopping for the fall’s hottest—look for items you can reinvent each time you wear them.
Other looks that are in for the fall:
Cardigan
Layering
Leopard print
Leather Jacket
