MSUM Celebrates Earthday
Join MSUM in Celebration of this fine day, rain or shine! Visit booths featuring environmental groups ranging from the Fargo River Keepers, MinnKota Recycling, and a variety of organic farmers, the event will also feature glassworks by Kirby Berg, a rummage sale with the proceeds going to the FM Rape and Abuse Crisis Center, inflatable games, tie dyeing, handmade patchwork clothing by Ashley Cheney, and a super booth featuring the FM Community Bike Shop. Live bands entertain your ears and feed your minds and as usual there will be plenty of food. If it rains, the event will move to the student union ballroom. Hooray for Planet Earth! 1-7pm

Body And Sold
The Soroptimist Club of Moorhead and Fargo, along with acclaimed production company Theatre B, present a staged reading of the gripping drama, Body & Sold, at Minnesota State University Moorhead and the Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre, beginning April 23. The VOX Project for children calls the piece, “A powerful tool to open community discussion about teen prostitution and child exploitation.” Body & Sold will be performed at Weld Hall on MSUM’S campus on Wednesday, April 23 at 7:30pm, and Friday-Saturday, April 25-26 at 7:30pm at the FMCT. North Dakota’s Poet Laureate reads from his new memoir, “A Step From Death.” It begins with his carelessness with a hay baler attached to a powerful tractor--the kind of mistake that can kill a novice.
