Cocktail: The Contradiction

This staff collaboration uses the new Absolut Orient Apple and Citron to create a tasty more flavorful alternative to a vodka/soda. We all agreed it tasted like an adult version of a Shirley Temple. If you are bored by your normal cocktail, this could be your new favorite drink. $4.25

Shot: Blue Moose

This blue and creamy shot was inspired by the Blue Raspberry Freeze from the Dairy Queen and definitely tasted as such. Though many creamy shots, especially ones that use Liquid Ice seem to coagulate immediately, Cory’s bartending skills were such that this didn’t happen. Warning- these could be dangerous. $4.25

EMPIRE LOUNGE

Cocktail: Bloody Effin Mary

If you have not yet tried a Bloody Mary using the relatively new Effin Cucumber Vodka you are
seriously missing out! Although also fantastic in other drinks, this is really the perfect venue for this particular flavored vodka. These guys also use their own extra special homemade Bloody mix. $3.75 (special pricing during the contest)

Shot: Purple Pearl

This is a bar favorite using Pearl Plum vodka with a splash of sweet and sour, cranberry juice and lemon. This shot is reminiscent of a Purple Hooter. $3.75

OLEARY’S PUB- MOORHEAD

Cocktail: The Communist

Once we could see past Elijah’s incredible handlebar mustache we were on to some really creative drink submissions. From the name of the drink to the well thought out presentation, this drink was both whimsical and delicious. Using some of Pinnacle Vodka’s intriguing new flavors including the cake, chocolate whipped, and espresso flavors, this creamy cocktail was topped with a (marching?) toothpick of red cinnamon gummy bears. $5.00

Shot: Irish Pillow Mint

At this stage in the game, things get a little hazy, maybe because we couldn’t just stop at one of these shots. This shot also utilized the Pinnacle Vodka Whipped Chocolate flavor and genuinely did taste like a pillow mint. This is also the perfect time of year for this Christmassy looking and tasting green and creamy delight. $5.00
