It’s a chance for la Raza to celebrate their roots, culture and find out about issues facing Latino people (including the 411 on college financial aid). It’s also a chance for non-Latino’s to get up to speed on Latino holistic medicine, Latino arts, Latino veterans and more. Come learn about the critical impact Latino’s have in our communities! Dancers from Raices de Mexico will perform; a silent auction and cake walk will take place and crafts and other Fair trade items will be available for sale. This in-depth psychological study of a modern day Jesse James is a dramatic, revelatory journey into the mind of a serial criminal. The author is the editor of two community newspapers in North Dakota and has been a working journalist for twenty-five years. She was drawn into the story of Jimmy Krimm when he committed suicide in her rural neighborhood. 420 Broadway
Drawn to the West: The Life & Art of William Perl
Rourke Museum
The art of William Perl will be shown at the Rourke Museum from April 24 through September 2011. Mostly all of the art was created in 1938-1946 and will illustrate his evolution as an artist. Rourke Museum hours are 1pm – 5pm Friday through Sunday, and Wednesdays and Thursdays by appointment.
