The residents of Hillsboro are opening their doors to area residents and inviting them to visit on Sunday, November 2. They are hosting “Fall Into Hospitality-Experience Hillsboro For Yourself” from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
Activities include a horse-drawn hayride tour of the town, a good-old fashioned church supper from 5:00-7:00 p.m. that benefits the Hillsboro Medical Center and its recent $12.5 million expansion, plus open houses at homes for sale in Hillsboro, local businesses, and community churches.
During “Fall Into Hospitality”, you can register to win prizes including $50.00 in Hillsboro Bucks that can be used at Hillsboro businesses!
In the heart of the rich Red River Valley of North Dakota, Hillsboro is a welcoming community, located along Interstate 29 at exit 104, with a proud history and promising future.
Hillsboro has a population of more that 1,560 people.
Hillsboro provides several big-city features and amenities including K-12 education, medical facilities, parks, a pool, golf course, and a community fitness center, to name a few. Students in grades 7-12 learn in a freshly remodeled high-tech school with many computers. With a graduation rate of 94% and a student-teacher ratio of 14:1, you can be sure that your teen receives a solid education with an opportunity to grow. Over the years the Hillsboro Burros athletic teams have produced winning records at all levels. Incidentally, the high school is also the home of the Hillsboro Public Library.
In Hillsboro, there is a strong faith community serving the community’s spiritual needs. The four churches include Hillsboro United Parish (UMC/UCC), Our Savior’s Lutheran Church (ELCA), St. John Lutheran Church (LC-MS) and St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
There are several events throughout the year that bring community members together, such as the annual Ice Cream Social, Hillsboro Days, Parade of Lights, and Santa Day.
Hillsboro is 40 miles from Fargo, 35 miles from Grand Forks, and 185 miles from Winnipeg.
