Find your balance. Enrich your life. And whatever you do, do not fear 2012. The 5th annual Holistic Expo is coming to the Fargo Civic Center April 16 and 17.
What is Holistic Healing? It is recognizing all the factors that contribute to an individual’s social, mental and physical health.
Over 70 exhibitors and 11 speakers will be available with the admission price of $7. Free samples, workshops and healing sessions are also included. “We cross all boundaries, social, religious and intellect. Each is focused on the person’s individuality,” said Gary Beckman, the organizer of the event.
Beckman thinks most people are searching for a way to live their life to the fullest. That is why it is important to know that the Holistic expo is influenced by knowledge, not the paranormal or unconventional thinking.
Exercising, something that everyone can see the benefits from, will be discussed and free Zumba, courtesy of Extreme Measures women’s fitness of Fargo, will kick off the opening on the 17. Extreme Measures was created by Mariah Prussiato to fill a void that was missing in the fitness industry, which was to help women find their voices. “I believe that each of us has a story and through sharing our stories one’s true identity both inside and out will then be discovered,” she said. Prussiato has seen the benefits of exercise and is also a strong believer in holistic healing, which she said is “all about balance in your spirit and emotions.”
There will also be free Yoga with Rita Olson, another speaker at the expo. Message, acupuncture and chiropractics are among other services that will have booths at the event.
Weight loss, something that seems to be a growing concern will also be covered by a work shop and discussion on nutrition. Beckman said, “This is a perfect opportunity to find the correlation between weight loss, toxins and hormones.”
“Now this is big,” he said pulling out stones, one from each pocket. “These keep me grounded. They harmonize me. We are all energy. What is called an electro-magnetic bio energy and certain stones have a tendency to resonate to people,” he said. Copper, for example, is known for calming people. Beckman hasn’t a doubt that the right rock could help any willing participant and said “Even aromatherapy massage is now using heated stones to draw out toxin in our bodies.” Check out the booth of Ki Stone, a local mineral specimen distributor.
Interested in knowing your future? Only you have the power to take yourself there. Psychics are often looked down upon by those who do not believe in fortune telling abilities; however, intuition is nature.
“[Psychics] are in the closest, if you will, but you wouldn’t believe how many people are interested in psychics,” Beckman said.
Three Minnesota women work as a team to give their listeners a “multi-perception” reading they are called Psychics in the Cities and will be at the expo speaking and reading.
Beckman chose the psychics who will be at the event by their ability to connect with others’ intuition. Beckman sees intuition as a huge part of the expo and links it with synchronicity. An example of this is when we reach a fork in the road and we have so many doubts, but as things unfold their lies a connection and a key to recognizing the right choice when you are at the fork.
Each and every person reaches certain cross roads in their life that lead them astray from what they believed was their path. College students who have switched their major many times may find what they are looking for with the help of of Wes Hamilton and Troy Parkinson.
The High Plains Reader’s own Micara Link is known for practicing her psychic abilities in this form. She will also be speaking. Link is an expert at searching souls to deliver inspirational and empowering messages to her listeners.
Are you ready for 2012? “It is going to be a significant year,” Beckman said. “Many people fear doom. It’s been in the movies, but I will go as far to say that we will be close to a heaven on earth.”
Due to the shift in the earth axis our belief systems will be harmonized. Beckman described greed and power vanishing in the health and medical fields. He also spoke of tolerating others. “It is happening right now. Look at sexuality. The gay, bi and lesbian community is accepted.”
Beckman’s wife, Insiah, will be speaking at the expo about the shift in the earth and how it will change us in her presentation called “The Planetary Cycles and the New Earth.”
Interested in redoing your home? Learn which color schemes promote relaxation, energy and life through Feng Shui. Feng Shui is a aesthetics believed to use the laws of both astronomy and geography. Author of “Conversations with your Home,” Carole Hyder will be speaking her insight on this form of design.
Other speakers and booths include Troy Schmit, from West Fargo, who helps people become confident in making the most of their abilities. He is a well known Medium and Intuitive. He works to educate those on the afterlife and shows them the truth within themselves.
The Expo is also a place to discover upper Midwest business. Natural Pet Center is a perfect example of this, supplying healthy products for dogs and cats. Norwex is another; they specialize in cleaning without chemicals. Novelty items like home crafted jewelry and clothes will be sold by Unique Keepsakes and Brigid’s House. Over half of the exhibitors are local. If you are interested in presentation times or a full list of this year’s exhibits check out the website at http://www.edgelife.net
“It’s the only time in Fargo you can go to one place to experience a lot of different mediums that are good for the mind, body and soul,” Beckman said.
The event will open at 9:15 a.m. with Medical and Psychic Intuitive Mas Sajady who will shed light on learning your actual goals and life dreams.
