Les Sholes, creator of “Storyboard Tales,” has recently released all 27 episodes of the illustrated, dark comedic, video series on You Tube. The series features short stories with bizarre twists. The narrated episodes are approximately one minute long and contain an average of ten drawings each. “Storyboard Tales” has its own channel on You Tube where the videos can be seen.
After the “Storyboard Tales” videos receive a certain number of hits, Sholes will be eligible to become a partner in a revenue sharing program. He will be paid for the advertising that will appear before and/or after each episode airs.
Sholes launched his own Storyboard Tale’s website in June and it has since received several thousand hits. Sholes teamed up with Google Adsence, the world’s largest advertising network. Google Adsence displays advertising banners of various companies on the Storyboard Tales website.
In August, Sholes won an EMPixx Award for the Storyboard Tales video series. The EMPixx Awards were presented by the American Pixel Academy for outstanding achievement in the creation of Moving Pixels. Sholes won in the Internet category and received the Platinum Award, the highest honor in the competition.
Sholes said that he will continue to market “Storyboard Tales” to other revenue sharing websites such as Meta Cafe and Blip TV. Depending upon its success in the future, he will consider producing more episodes.
