With autumn in full swing and apples ripe for the picking it only makes sense to share your favorite apple recipes. Grandma's Swedish Apple Cake has been a crowd pleaser from girl scout soirees to post office Christmas parties, and it is simple enough that almost anyone can make it.

I'm not sure where grandma got the recipe but it has always been written in the back of her trusty, old German cookbook and has been translated from German to English and from metric to standard.

I recently found out about Pounds, the new restaurant located in downtown Fargo, at 612 First Ave. N. Formerly the Beefsteak Club, the new eatery is still right next to Wurst Bier Hall and Drekker Brewing Co.
