Strangely Original

The Electric Six are strange.
Not in a harsh way, they are simply strange in every sense of the world. Original might be a better word for it.
The Electric Six was formed in Detroit, Michigan, in 1996, with six members. Over the years the band has made so many lineup changes I can’t keep track.
They all have uncommon stage names. Currently Dick Valentine is their lead singer. They have two guitarists, Johnny Na$hinal and The Colonel. Smorgasbord plays the bass and Tait Nucleus? is responsible for the synths.
They’ve released six albums, and to me the most interestingly titled one is “I Shall Exterminate Everything Around Me That Restricts Me From Being The Monster.” In their early days they re-released their single “Danger! High Voltage,” collaborating with Jack White of The White Stripes, who sang backup vocals.
The band has become very popular in the United Kingdom and is currently touring the U.S., attempting to convert Americans to their English hype. If you’re thinking about going, you can catch The Electric Six in Fargo at the Aquarium on March 16th. I have never seen them but I have been hearing it will be a good show. To me they sound similar to the Bloodhound Gang, if you remember those guys.
I hear they like to party so if you do too, be sure to get there.
