Grace M. Link: An Excellent Senator
To the Editor:
Tracy Potter is a friend of mine, so if this letter seems a little biased towards him, you will understand. I’ve known Tracy since he was a very young man and have been proud of the career that he has made in public service and of his work leading the Fort Abraham Lincoln Foundation.
He has a grasp of the importance of our heritage, of maintaining our historic sites and promoting the value of learning lessons from the past. He brings that same understanding to his work in the North Dakota Senate. He will do the same when we send him to Washington to represent us in the United States Senate.
I was especially pleased when Tracy invoked the memory of my dear Art in his comments on the oil development of western North Dakota being a “One Time Harvest” [Art Link, Governor of North Dakota, 1972-1980]. Art talked with Tracy on several occasions this spring about how the development was making the roads, particularly Highway 85, unsafe. Tracy understood and agreed.
I know Tracy Potter will make an excellent Senator for North Dakota.
