Just a note to tell you how much we have appreciated reading [Ed Raymond’s] columns when we were living in Fargo and now here in Colorado. We have met some friends here with whom we share the columns and they appreciate them also.

In addition, I have admired [his] leadership in education and your friendship during our years together in the Fargo Public Schools. Enjoy the accolades and evening in your honor. We wish you many more happy years of writing.
