Thank You, Susie

To the Editor,

I am a dedicated reader of Susie Ekberg’s column.  I recently read a comment (on the HPR website) which saddened me.

It was a comment posted from a reader in response to a question Susie answered regarding politics. In my opinion, the reader expressing his opinion was doing so in a hostile, attacking and critical way.

I feel that Susie’s responses and information come from a place of love and respect for others and it saddened me to see someone responding to her in an attacking manner.

I also found myself wishing for others to know how much I appreciate her contribution and her point of view.  In a time when we are all (or most of us anyway) searching for meaning and clarity in our lives, I feel grateful that we have someone like Susie who is both willing to gently challange and guide, while encouraging us to think for ourselves.

Thank you for including her column in your newspaper.
