Is there such thing as a perfect state of health?

By Dr. Tiffany

To me, it is one in which our body is working perfectly from the inside-out.

You may be thinking, “What does that mean?” As of right now, society is mostly focused on the outside-in approach. We have gone away from the doctor being within each of us to relying on this pill, potion and lotion to cure and heal.

Nothing can heal you from the outside. Do you need medicine or surgery to be or stay healthy?  If your stomach is hurting, does the cure lie within the Pepto Bismol bottle? If you have a headache, will you be healed by Advil? If you sprain your ankle, is the solution in the pain relievers, muscle relaxants or even surgery? If you are depressed, do you rely on Zoloft to be and stay healthy and happy? All of these outside-in approaches may serve a purpose for a short amount of time, but will not cure the problem. Instead it will mask the problem that may lead to other systemic dysfunction, too.

Why has society lost faith in the human body? Why has the power of the body and nerve system been replaces by pills, potions and lotions? Every human body is a remarkable biological system that can heal itself, although it may need some help.

Take great care of your body. Get 7-8 hours of quality of sleep nightly. Get the chiropractic adjustment regularly. Eat breakfast. Start your day with affirmations and/or prayer. Send a thank you note to someone you love. Consume whole foods. Do your best. Drink ½ of your body weight in water (if you weigh 150 pounds, drink 75 oz each day). Smile. Get movement daily. Look at yourself in the mirror and say “I Love You”. Fill yourself with knowledge and good thoughts. Focus on the life you want.

I challenge you to step up to the plate to focus on the miracle within you; to feel the power inside you; and to have confidence in its healing ability.  The doctor within all of us has the answers if you choose to ask and listen. When you change your mind, you change your life.
