Duluth roots musician Charlie Parr grew up listening to Lightnin’ Hopkins, Dock Boggs and Leadbelly, so it should come as no surprise that his instruments of choice are a banjo, a 12-string and a Resonator. Yet, his inspiration comes not only from old roots musicians, but from the alternately fertile and frozen soil of Minnesota.
