Liu Bolin “Hiding in the City” Reception

Liu Bolin’s performance-based politically charged photography work be on display until Sept. 27. The concept for this work started in 2005 when the Chinese government demolished the village in which artist Liu Bolin worked. With this photography Bolin camouflages his body to fit in with his environments “in silent protest.” Not only does he explore political issues surrounding his home country but he explores issues on a global scale and has even photographed himself at Ground Zero in New York. The exhibition is in conjunction with the Faith, Reason and World Affairs Symposium.
