The beavers along the red river are in danger of being trapped if their habitat continues to be destroyed. The Beaver Backers are teaming up with the humane society and home depot for a tree painting party.The paint is mixed with a grit solution leaving an unsatisfactory taste/texture on the trees to discourage the beavers from gnawing. As stated on their facebook event page. “When done properly, the non lethal methods would protect trees, beavers, and the Red River ecosystem, while inspiring the desire for peaceful coexistence, and a respect for other life.”
