Northern Minnesota’s beloved bump. Skiing and snowboarding, especially this weekend, after the mini-snowfall / cold snap, maybe the last winter sports of the season. And the Mountain Mammoth art structure should be finished. Leonic Collective artists from Minneapolis-St. Paul have created a giant woolly mammoth, building it from sticks and branches. A permanent exhibit, it’s in the children’s playground area and is “interactive” and we’re not sure what that means. It has a name, Mashaal. Kids can climb up Mashaal’s leg and into “the belly of the beast.”
