While you’re there, check out her exhibition “Gigawaabimin.” This current body of work explores themes of loss, resilience, discrimination within the system, as well as Native identity. Johnson’s work incorporates traditional materials such as birch bark, medicinal plants, and even ledger paper into her printmaking and collage processes.
