Once the founders of Florida Food Waste Prevention Week met the founders of California’s Food Waste Prevention Week in 2020, the ball really started rolling. In 2021, the good word started to spread to more states, cities and organizations, forming a movement. Last year. over 600 partners across 11 countries and 48 states joined the mission to educate and inspire. By reducing food waste, we support a healthier environment, address food insecurity in our communities and save individuals and families money on food costs.
