For 15 years now independent comic book stores having been participating in Free Comic Book Day. Aside from picking up free comics, each shop in the area has their own sales going on. Paradox Comics-N-Cards (26 Roberts St. N.) will be offering 25 percent off storewide, plus an original art contest, super hero movie and TV trivia, and a kids costume parade. Comic Junction (1621 University Drive S.) will offer 40 percent off regular back issues and 15 percent off premium back issues. There will also be a buy two get one free deal on graphic novels, 25 percent off all toys and games, and 40 percent off posters and apparel.
