Any Saturday
Downtown Fargo
Start at Great Northern Books, 425 Broadway, a tiny space full of hundreds of books in no particular order, open three hours a week, 1 to 4 on Saturday. Now cross the street to Zandbroz Variety, where the used books are in the back. We’d go just to see the beautiful cabinetry from the former grocery store. Are you hungry? Bernbaum’s is a couple of doors down the street. It’s all yummy (but we like the potato salad). Haven’t found what you’re looking for? Walk half a mile to the cavernous BDS Books, at 1200 1st Avenue, where Brad Stephenson displays an encyclopedic knowledge of where things are.
