Bummer punk is defined as frequently acoustic, lo-fi indie rock with punk rock snarl, working class growl, utterly raw teenage angst and other descriptions, depending on who you’re talking to. Practitioners often have long beards. For a while, the opening act was To Be Arranged, and come to think of it, that’s a good name for a bummer punk band, given free of charge to anybody who wants it. Pass the Flask, now the openers, killed it at the Fargo Brewing Company. They’re in a Beatles-in-Germany phase, sound different and better every time we hear them.
