‘The Teachers’ Protest’ dinner and a movie

Thursday, October 22, 5-8 p.m.

Sons of Norway Kringen Lodge, 722 2nd Ave. N, Fargo

Jon Seale’s documentary “The Teachers’ Protest” tells the story of 1942 Nazi occupied Norway. Teachers were coerced into joining a Nazi teachers league, an attempt to force them to build lesson plans promoting Nazi ideology. As the government tried to break them, see how these educators managed to push back through archival footage, animation and first hand accounts. Supper will be served from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The film will be shown in the ballroom.
