Fargo Brewer’s Ball-Draws for a Cause

Beer Snob | October 21st, 2015

The 5th annual Fargo Brewer’s Ball, presented by Sammons Financial in Fargo, offers the irresistible opportunity to sample over 30 different kinds of beer, indulge in delectable food and try your chance at a silent auction, all while supporting a good cause. The event, which will raise money for cystic fibrosis, is being held on Friday, Oct. 23, at the Avalon Event Center West in Fargo. The ball will run from 7-11 p.m., so you will have ample time to discuss the complexity of every beer and snack on all the food.

If you are planning to go you can get your tickets online at fargobrewersball2015.com. If you are feeling extra beer-crafty you can sign up for the VIP ticket! The VIP tickets are $75 ($17 is tax deductible), which allows you early entry (6 p.m.) and access to the entire event, including the silent auction and plenty of food and beer. Also included in the package is an official Brewers Ball tasting glass (6oz) and tasting beer mug.

General admission tickets are $50 ($4 is tax deductible), and with one of these you will receive admission to the event, an official Brewers Ball tasting glass (3oz), access to the silent auction and tons of beer and food.

This event is presented by KFGO The Mighty 790 and Moorhead Electric, and it will be hosted by Joel Heitkamp, with special guests the Mix 101.9 Morning Show.

Special musical guests The Front Fenders will be rockin’ the tunes all night. They play a little bit of everything but usually stick to high-energy classic rock and roll. I cannot think of anything better than sampling some great craft beer and munching on some snacks with my friends, while a great band plays some killer rock music.

To improve safety and efficiency, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is moving toward a cashless system in 2015 and is asking that your donations be converted to check or money order. This is going to be an event you do not want to miss. Not only will you be raising money for a serious disease but you also have the opportunity to expand your taste buds and get into some crazy craft beer. You will find beer from breweries such as Bent Paddle Brewing Co., Big Wood Brewery, Lucid Brewing, Drekker Brewing Co., Junkyard Brewing Co., Fargo Brewing Co., Kilstone Brewing Co., Granite City, JL Beers and more. For more information or to buy tickets, head over to the event website. I hope to see you out there!
