Downtown Fargo
This summer’s art and wine walk series begins Thursday. The event offers the community a chance to wander through downtown Fargo and sample wine while checking out live artists. Wristbands are available for $20 and can be purchased at participating businesses. The series will continue on specific Thursdays each month through September.

Printmaker Amanda Heidt, Make Room’s featured gallery artist for the month of May, will lead a class in creating and designing simple screen prints for t-shirts. Seats are available for $20 and can be purchased on Make Room’s website at makeroomfargo.com. Those interested are asked to bring in a new or old blank t-shirt to print their design onto.

Zombies will once again walk the streets of downtown Fargo but it won’t be human flesh they’re craving. Participants are encouraged to dress as the undead with fake blood and costume makeup as they stumble from bar to bar. The crawl begins at Duffy’s Tavern with the location changing every hour. More information can be found on the event’s Facebook page, including a list of lessons learned from past years.

The Rourke Art Gallery Museum
As a celebration of International Print Day, the Rourke Art Museum will feature works from the region’s best printmakers and will offer a free demonstration at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. the day of the event. The event gives the public an opportunity to view and purchase prints from a variety of printmakers, with 30 percent of all proceeds supporting local artists’ emergency needs.

Fargo’s Rage Against the Machine tribute act is back as local acts o’fosho and D Mills join forces for a night full of classic ’90s rap metal. Minot hip-hop group Cold Sweat will open the show along with DJ DTF420 spinning classics from Prince. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 at Orange Records.

The area’s newest gallery is hosting a grand opening with their first exhibition, Purple Rain: A Space Oddity. The art show will feature works from local artists and is inspired by music legends Prince and David Bowie, who both died this year. The gallery was opened by artists M. Koskela and Sophia Koskela. The exhibit itself runs from May 1 to May 30.

For the first time in over four years, Canadian hardcore band Comeback Kid will return to Fargo. The band formed in 2000 and released their debut LP three years later. Since then, they’ve released four more albums and one live release. This early show also features opening acts Exalt, Baltic to Boardwalk, Swing Low and Crab Legs.
