Settling into our seats to the sounds of the Mighty Wurlitzer organ, the smell of fresh popcorn lingering in the air, gives us a little shiver of anticipation that only live cinema can provide. See the best of the best in the crowd-pleasing Saturday night session. The fun starts with the Two Minute Movie winner and continues with “Like The Ones I Used To Know,” a Canadian coming of age story that was also screened at Sundance and SXSW Film Festival. Next up is “Glob Lessons,” the Prairie Spirit Award-winning feature about two children’s theater actors traversing the wintery Midwest landscape in a minivan. Stay for the Q&A with writer and director Nicole Rodenburg and writer Colin Froeber after the screening.
