Last Sunday we had our annual Best of the Best awards ceremony at The Plains Art Museum. we don’t mean to brag but we’re the area’s longest-running media poll, meaning we’ve been relying on you -- our readers call the shots on the hot spots, top eats, the coolest digs, best gigs, top bands, artists and performers in Fargo Moorhead.

So we threw a party--a heckuva party in fact. I had the privilege of co-hosting the event with Erik Block. Which wasn’t too bad of a collaboration. He did the talking and I did my best Vanna White tribute while presenting.

Sidestreet made out like a mad bandit and the right to get rowdy with awards for best bar and best happy hour. Nick Quinn also of Sidestreet won the award for best server and a candle was lit for Andrew Hardy who won best mixologist--unfortunately he’s no longer with us..in Fargo anyway. We hear he’s rocking the Black Hills of South Dakota though.

Kelly Coxsyn looked ravishing as she accepted her best drag performer award. We experienced JJ Gordon nearly speechless as he accepted his Best Comedian award. We also witnessed friendly competition among friends and community members.

We saw a lot of new faces and a lot of new names -- which is fantastic. We love making new friends and finding out about exciting new places in town. Keep up the good work Fargo Moorhead and give yourself a pat on the back. You deserve it. We couldn’t do what we do without our readers!
