Fargo Brewing Company to expand business

Fargo Brewing Company is expanding its business and opening up a second “Ale House”.

The release date is not officially set in stone but they are hoping to start pouring out of their new location, at 4445 17th Avenue South in Fargo, by late spring or early summer.

With this new location Fargo Brewing Company can reach a wider audience and expand on the great product they already provide.

“Our community continues to demand locally made beer and this location is right in the middle of the population growth”, said Jared Hardy, Co-Founder of Fargo Brewing Company. “Given the proximity to retail, hotels and I-94, the new location will better serve tourists and travelers seeking Fargo beer,” said Hardy.

They will also be brewing onsite at the new location allowing for more production to go out. They will be pouring old favorites like the Wood Chipper IPA, Iron Horse Pale Ale, Stones Throw Scottish Ale, Sodbuster Porter, and I wouldn’t doubt they continue to rotate the tap lines to accommodate new and exciting beer they brew up.

Fargo Brewing Company got the ball rolling in 2010, being the first brewery in the Fargo/Moorhead area. Brothers Chris and John Anderson founded it along with their friends Chris Hardy and Aaron Hill. Fargo Brewing currently distributes beer throughout all of North Dakota, Minnesota and portions of South Dakota and Wisconsin. They have been the frontiers when it comes to brewing, and production of local craft beer. They took home the bronze medal at the Great American Craft Beer Festival in 2015 for their Original Lager in the Kellerbier or Zwickelbier beer-style category. This is the first metal in the Fargo/Moorhead area to be won for craft beer. “The Ale House” will be another notch on their belt as being the first to expand their business to another location. As Hardy mentioned earlier this will be huge for tourism and lovers of Fargo Brewing Company’s beer. The fact that they will have two fully functioning taprooms and brewing locations allows people to get a delicious beer and chat with the fine folks at Fargo Brewing without having to travel into North Fargo, unless you want to.

It is very impressive to see a local company take off and really excel in Fargo, especially in the craft beer department. The people at Fargo Brewing Company put in a lot of hard work and effort to make sure their patrons have a consistent product and it really shows. I for one am super excited for Fargo Brewing and their new adventure.

Their North University location is huge but very welcoming and homey, although I cannot wait to sip on an Iron Horse and check out the new location. I can only imagine what kind of design and decoration they will come up with but it is worth the wait. Cheers to Fargo Brewing Company for their new expansion!
