May I assume that a good percentage of my readers have bought something on Amazon or Ebay or Etsy, or someplace similar? Okay, so you are a good buyer, you pay your credit card bills and you enjoy your “stuff”. Wonderful!
Now there comes a time in your life when you MIGHT have a little too much “stuff.” If you suspect that I am talking about you, then you are probably right. The Internet has come to your rescue -- maybe.
Selling on the Internet requires some time, some…

Tristate Transgender (TSTG) is a support group that meets at the pride center from 3 to 5pm every third Saturday of the month. This group is open to anyone under the gender umbrella, people who are questioning their gender and allies who support them.
Beyond just providing a safe space for trans individuals to receive emotional support, Tristate Transgender also serves to provide a wealth of trans-related information resources and also advocates for trans rights in North Dakota.

As I walked inside from Broadway that dreary, overcast early evening, I was unaware I was about to see some amazing sights without ever having to leave my seat. I was entering “Be More Colorful,” a Fargo virtual reality firm that had just turned one year old on August 1st.
Since then, the brainchild of husband and CEO Matt Chaussee and wife and president Katie Chaussee has seen an incredible amount of business, and not always from the type of clients I would have expected.

I was recently asked for advice on how to appropriately write a trans character for a piece of fiction.
This is a great question, because the vast majority of people get it incredibly wrong. I tend not to read or watch media that features trans characters, because their storylines are often stereotypical and cringe-worthy.
The thing to understand about writing transgender characters is that being transgender is only a small part of their identity or their history. If I told you I was…

Bismarck is going to be the place to be on Saturday, August 26, as the Native American Development Center is bringing a full day and evening of free activities to celebrate and educate. The experience is sponsored by The Bush Foundation.

“These have all been cleaned and filled with sand and concrete,” said Randy Mehlhoff, who serves on both the Langdon Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Cavalier County Job Development Authority (JDA), as we walked along the former nuclear launchpad that once reinforced underground launchers for sixteen Sprint and thirty Spartan nuclear-tipped missiles. The missiles were once nestled 75 feet…

Google has a cloud plan that is actually free! It should be: Google has enough money, they don’t need mine or yours.
Last week we discussed the Dropbox cloud offering. Remember that cloud storage is a great way to back up your files, unless you are my brother who doesn’t believe in the Cloud.
Cloud goes hand in hand with external drives and network-area-storage (NAS) devices to give you good protection for your files.
What Is Network Attached Storage? NAS straddles the line between a…

At the end of a boiling hot summer, Fargo-Moorhead Pride Festivals are around the corner to light up our lives. The 2017 Fargo-Moorhead Pride events are from Thursday, August 10 to Sunday, August 13 with the Annual FM Pride Parade and Rally in Downtown Fargo. Even better, FM Pride expects to draw attendees from throughout North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota, and stretching into Canada, as we once again claim our spot as one of the nation’s proportionately largest PRIDE celebrations.…

With Fargo-Moorhead Pride coming up this weekend, I was asked what I thought about the relationship between Pride, Black Lives Matter, and the Women’s March.
This question was sparked by Minneapolis’ Pride Parade being delayed a great deal by Black Lives Matter protesting the inclusion of uniformed LGBTQ+ officers.
Recently, we’ve also seen a call for an intersection between these communities, with Philadelphia adding a black and brown stripe to the rainbow flag, as well as the…
By Josette Ciceronunapologeticallyanxiousme@gmail.com What does it mean to truly live in a community —or should I say, among community? It’s a question I have been wrestling with since I moved to Fargo-Moorhead in February 2022.…
