Isaiah Smith - YouCaring and Facebook pagesFARGO – A certified nursing assistant was attacked early Saturday morning near North Dakota State University after calling out men involved in a fight earlier Friday night, according to police and family reports.

Isaiah Smith, 21, was outnumbered and brutally beaten up, Smith’s sister, Casey Droher, a site organizer for a YouCaring page to help her injured brother, said.

“His jaw was hanging from his face, broken in three places,” Droher said.

Crews told police she planned to teach Greywind, who was eight months pregnant, how to self-induce childbirth by breaking her own water, and led her up to Apartment 5, 2825 9th Street North, on August 19. FARGO - It’s a short distance from the Greywind family’s basement apartment to the third floor, 24 steps, to be exact. Apartment number five is boarded up tight. ​Savanna’s Body Found Near Harwood

Savanna Lafontaine-GreywindHARWOOD - The body of Savanna Marie Lafontaine-Greywind was found near the Red River early Sunday evening by law enforcement.

At 8:20 p.m. her body was found, and at 9:20 p.m. the body was identified, according to Fargo Police Chief David Todd. Greywind’s body will be brought to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner. Her family has been notified, Todd said.

Fargo Police Chief David Todd addresses media Friday - photo by C.S. HagenFARGO – Two Fargo residents were arrested Thursday afternoon in relation to the disappearance of Savanna Marie Lafontaine-Greywind, but no charges have been filed by the Cass County State's Attorney yet.

One of the suspects was found with a newborn infant in the apartment upstairs to where Greywind and family lived. Greywind, 22, was nearly eight months pregnant at the time of her disappearance last weekend, and police believe the baby is Greywind’s.

Halima Kwcrwb, 49, of Fargo, who worked for Drayton Foods, LLC for five years, claimed she was hurt twice while on the job, and filed twice for workers’ compensation with North Dakota Workforce Safety & Insurance, but was denied for wage loss benefits.
