Michael Borgie was unable to be reached for comment on a tight timeline, so the following information has been taken verbatim from his campaign website.
“I live in the Prairiewood Golf Course neighborhood, but I also work in far south Fargo and downtown Fargo by Block 9. I have season tickets to the RedHawks so I’m up there 50 times a summer. I also have a pass for all the Fargo Parks golf courses as well, so you’ll see me all over in Fargo.”
“I’m running for Mayor for a couple different reasons: One being the direction our city is heading. I’m just a regular guy who gets up every day, goes to work, and does the best job he possibly can. I look around and love my environment, I love the city of Fargo, but I’ve noticed over the last 3 to 4 years that the direction of our city seems to be heading to many places that I’ve lived in the past, so I know what the outcome will be. So, I concluded there’s 2 things I can do. I can either move, or I can get involved in our community and see if we can create some change.”
“My priorities are to Improve Public Safety, Advocate for City Tax Payers, Address the Workforce Shortage, and Re-Evaluate the City Budget.”
“My top priority is public safety. That would obviously include policing. Other top priorities are first time home buyers, jobs of course jobs, and let’s not forget about the most important thing: city ordinances and how we come about them. We could do a lot of things with our city ordinances to make our neighborhoods safer, our downtown area safer, and our parks safer.
