I get about 100 emails a day. Some of them are not my fault. Others, in a weak moment, I asked for. I spend about an hour a month unsubscribing from the ones that I don’t want or use. I have four email accounts from different email providers. All of these pieces of mail require management to keep from clicking from site to site trying to read all of them. I had a chance to sit down with Moorhead school board member Kara Gloe about her fundraising event to help students in need. This is a project she has undertaken outside of her role on the school board because it’s an issue that she deeply cares about. The Awesome Foundation supports ideas and initiatives in our area through thousand-dollar grants every month. This month they awarded $1,000, split between the host of Fargo’s only queer radio program, Nemo Siqueiros, and the “Multi-Ethnic Recording Project” on KPPP-LP.
