For several weeks this spring, the lower level gallery of Hjemkomst Center will be filled with art from Fargo‐Moorhead Visual Artists members. This includes work by educators, emerging artists and established artists. The exhibition runs from April 15 to June 10. Come celebrate the release of Fargo Brewing Company’s double IPA 1.21 Gigahops as D Mills & The Thrills and Kipp G perform an entire set of songs by the New York City hip‐hop legends The Beastie Boys. The 1.21 Gigahops features over seven pounds of hops per barrel. While the new beer is intensely hoppy, it’s also very drinkable beer. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.

Six bands take the stage in a show set up to provide donations to North Dakota Women in Need. The show will feature Fargo hardcore act Swing Low and Fargo punk band Crab Legs. Also playing are Bemidji’s Shannon Murray, Moorhead’s Free Truman, Grazing, and Independent Study. The cost is $5 a person although more donations are welcome.

Minneapolis vocalist Megan Hamilton brings her ghetto funk sound to Fargo with live band The Bermudas. Hamilton’s European sound is inspired by glitch hop, old school samples and future funk. Electro funk and soul DJ and trumpeter Stone Soul will open, along with Minneapolis future funk DJ Guggenz and Missoula, Mont., future bass DJ Peanut Butter.

As a celebration of the movie “Fargo” reaching the 20‐year mark, the Fargo Theatre decided to include the film as its April classic. The Fargo‐Moorhead Convention and Visitors Bureau will display the woodchipper from the movie under the marquee from 5‐7:30 p.m and woodchipper merchandise will be for sale as well. Nebraskan anti-folk musician Not Ben Shin returns to Fargo in a show featuring several local acts. Grand Forks punk band The Contraceptives will perform along with ska-punk group No Thumbs Up, indie-surf group Free Truman and folk musician Owen Broke. This is an all-ages show.
