We've all heard that old saying "you are what you eat.” In the case withthis story, I wanted to talk about the food for the body we call "massage.”

On my last trip to Winnipeg, I was spoiled by having a massage known as hammam.

But first I want to back up and give credit where credit is due. I never heard of this hammam until I met a lady by the name of Beth at a dinner party. She was talking about this specific massage therapy.

I wasn't very interested because I'm not a big massage…

Bikes for everyone: Great Rides Bike Share is here

Fargo is set to gain its first-ever bike share program this spring, providing a healthy new way to get around the city.

Great Rides Bike Share allows members and guests to check out bicycles. Managed by Great Rides Fargo, it will officially launch Sunday, March 15. Great Northern Bicycle Co., which will maintain the bicycles, also won the bid to build the stations around town.

Bike share programs are pretty simple.

Last Sunday was a warm, clear, perfect day so Diane and I dusted off our snowboards and ventured to the newly reopened Detroit Mountain in Detroit Lakes. The mountain closed in 2004, but, due to local rallying and fundraising, it has been reopened with new management and a new vision.

Minnesotans know that MNsure wasn’t perfect when it was enacted last October. There was a media bombardment attacking its website issues, long wait time, data breaches, limitations on plans, fraud, administrative scandals, etc. Today, however, the program has smoothed over the rough patches.
